PHILADELPHIA, PA— The Tricky Triangle isn’t the only place where checkered flags were waving this weekend. Richard Childress Racing’s Austin Dillon and Tyler Reddick represented Team Chevy at Friday’s Urban Youth Racing School Grand Prix of Philadelphia. Dillon and the rest of his team drove their way straight into first on the podium.

“It was a good time. I had a blast. Fun to get out in Philadelphia and have a good experience with the Urban Youth Racing School. Thank you, Chevy, for supporting these kids,” said Dillon.

Chevy has supported the Urban Youth Racing School for 22 years. The UYRS was founded in 1983 and has since been dedicated to exposing inter-city youth to the motorsports industry through STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).

The first five weeks for these students are spent in the classroom focusing on their STEM training, while the second part is spent running a go-kart team. These students were able to put their driving skills to the test going up against some of the best this weekend.

Dillon and Reddick were joined by 13 other NASCAR drivers, local celebrities, media, and UYRS alumni to race for a cause. That cause? To bring a smile to these inter-city children’s faces and inspiration to those aspiring to one day fill their shoes, or fire suit, in the motorsports industry.

Reddick, Dillon and the rest of the NASCAR drivers will take on Pocono’s Tricky Triangle this weekend.  Tune in to The M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400 at Pocono Raceway which will be televised live on Sunday, July 24 beginning at 3 p.m. ET on USA.
