Philadelphia, PA – Urban Youth Racing School (UYRS) is thrilled to announce the expansion of our ongoing partnership with Harrisburg University of Science and Technology (HU). Together, we are dedicated to creating unparalleled STEM-focused experiences for students across Pennsylvania, with a special emphasis on supporting youth from underrepresented communities.
Urban Youth Racing School, based in Philadelphia, is committed to empowering diverse young learners through immersive education in motorsports. Our program uniquely combines the thrill of racing with hands-on lessons in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). By connecting the excitement of the track with real-world applications, we aim to inspire the next generation of innovators, engineers, and leaders.
In collaboration with Harrisburg University, we are taking bold steps to enhance the educational journey of our students. HU not only provides a co-location space for UYRS at their Philadelphia campus but will now extend substantial academic and financial support to our students through the UYRS Promise Scholarship. This partnership will unlock even greater opportunities, offering UYRS participants access to HU’s cutting-edge resources, mentorship, and world-class facilities.
We are particularly excited to introduce the Urban Youth Racing School Promise Scholarship at Harrisburg University. This scholarship will make HU’s undergraduate programs accessible to all UYRS students and alumni who enroll full-time, providing $10,000 per year in tuition assistance, totaling $40,000 over four years. Whether pursuing an on-campus or online degree, our students will have the financial support needed to achieve their academic goals.
At Urban Youth Racing School, we are proud to partner with Harrisburg University in driving change and opening doors for our students throughout the Delaware Valley and beyond. This partnership is not just about fostering a love for science and engineering but also about instilling a sense of achievement, confidence, and the excitement of competition.
